“I am a social documentary, street, and fine art photographer from Oxford, UK. I have always been creative from my initial dabblings with paints and sculpture and then discovering photography looking through books by Andre Kertesz, Don McCullin and William Klein.
While at college in Bristol my lecturer introduced me to the works of Lee Friedlander, Robert Frank and Garry Winogrand and everything I was doing made sense.
Over the last 25 years I have been traveling around the world on mini road trips putting together series of photographs documenting my adventures. I am currently working on various projects: A personal series about my life, an American style road trip , and Oxford at night.” – Andy Mckay
